Renovation of a fire / police facility in Eugene, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Due to the current public health emergency and in accordance with City of Eugene Administrative Order 44-14-08F and Public Contracting Rules (City Rule) 137-047-0255, vendors must email bids to eugene.facilities@eugene-or.gov prior to the due date and time indicated in the ITB or any extension thereof made by addendum. The subject line of the email must read: ITB 2020-1013 Fire Station 2 and 6 Roof and HVAC Replacement June 9, 2020. The City is not responsible for the premature opening of or the failure to open a bid not properly identified or addressed. Bidder is responsible for submitting their bid prior to the closing time and date. Late bids will not be accepted. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for filing will be returned to the bidder unopened. PROJECT DESCRIPTION In general, the Project consists of the replacement of single-ply membrane roofing and HVAC equipment. The Work is located at Fire Station 2 - 1725 West 2nd Avenue Eugene, OR 97402 and Fire Station 6 - 2435 Willakenzie Road in Eugene, OR 97401. The Project includes scheduling and operational requirements to allow for Owner occupancy during construction. Notice of available addenda will be issued only to those who are a Bidding Documents Holders in the State of Oregon ORPIN system. Those acquiring documents are responsible to obtain all addenda. PREVAILING WAGE This project is a public works project subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. BID SECURITY Bidders shall submit a Bid Security for ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount, plus any additive alternates, by one of the following methods: - Attach a scanned version of a paper bid bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Savings and Loan Secured Check, or irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a financial institution; the validity of which will be verified after the bid opening. - Alternatively, use an electronic bid bond service to submit a link which includes verification of the bid bond. NON-RESIDENT BIDDERS In accordance with ORS 279A.120, Bidders will be required to indicate on the Bid Form whether the Bidder is an Oregon resident. CONTRACTOR'S REGISTRATION The City will not consider Bids unless the Bidder (Contractor) is registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 701. ASBESTOS ABATEMENT Asbestos work is not anticipated. If asbestos conditions are discovered by Contractor, Contractor shall immediately notify City. OWNERS RIGHT TO REJECT PROPOSALS The City of Eugene may hold Bids for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from date bids are due for the purpose of reviewing bid documents and investigating qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding Contract. The City of Eugene reserves the right to reject any Bid for good cause upon finding that it is in the best interest of the City to do so.
