The University of Oregon (UO) is an AA/EEO employer and encourages the submittal of responses from Oregon based businesses including women, minority-owned and emerging small business enterprises. The scope of the new Residence Hall project on the University of Oregon Eugene campus is to provide additional capacity for on campus housing. The project consists of (2) new buildings that will be constructed in two phases. The buildings will accommodate approximately 800 beds each. Buildings are noted as Phase 1 and Phase 2 and consist of multiple configurations of unit types, lounge and study spaces, storage, Academic Residential Community (ARC) spaces, bike storage, support spaces, and infrastructure. Phase 1 will house a ground floor dining hall. The construction type for both phases will utilize Type III wood framing over a Type IA concrete podium slab, with steel framing over the public spaces at the first-floor level. The Project sites are located on the southwest and southeast corners of the intersection of 17th Ave. and Moss Street. The proposed buildings will be approximately 425,000 sq. ft., and accommodate the students in single, double and triple occupancy rooms, each with its own bathroom. Community director and Faculty in Residence Apartments will be in each building. Phase 1 is scheduled to open in Fall of 2027, and Phase 2 in Fall of 2028. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
