Major items of work include: 6" Sanitary Sewer Open Cut and by Pipe Bursting 6" Force Main Bore and Jack - 12" Steel Encasement Pipe Under Union Pacific Railroad Manhole Rehabilitation Lift Station Rehabilitation A bid bond in the the amount of 5% of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Danbury or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. This project is federally funded by a Brazoria County Community Development Block Grant. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the U.S. Department of Labor H.U.D. and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or national origin. Also, adherence to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, the regulations set forth in 24 CFR Part 135, and all applicable rules and orders will apply. City of Danbury reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The award will be made to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest acceptable bid. Bids may be held by City of Danbury for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or full under this project.
