Site work and paving for a civil project in Tell City, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Install cross ties as follows: QTY 3000 6" x 8" x 8'6" Grade 3 ties to be installed at approximately 16 locations over 18 miles of track, ranging from 100 to 450 ties per location. Rebuild Switch at Industry Lead (MP 6.0) Contractor to provide switch ties. Surfacing and regulating Requirements: Approximately 7.0 miles of spot tamping and regulating as determined by the Railroad. A two-inch raise is planned at all locations. A production tamper must be used for the final surfacing. For the most part this work will take place at locations where tie replacements were made in conjunction with this project. Replace rail Requirements: Remove 800 TF of existing rail at one location - MP 20.5. Layout and install 800 Track Feet of 115# Rail. Contractor will furnish 115# Rail, tie plates, spikes, track bolts & rail anchors
