Renovation of an educational facility in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract are invited for the following work: Provide the labor and equipment to clean the ductwork systems and air handler units located in Bunche Hall and Engineering IV. Scope of Work: A. The minimum requirements shall be satisfied to render HVAC components clean, and to verify the cleanliness through inspection and/or testing in accordance with items specified in the Bidding Documents and applicable NADCA Standards. B. Duct cleaning shall be limited to all supply air pathways including the supply fan unit, distribution ducting, risers, turning vanes, laterals to terminal units and diffusers. Include the cleaning of return air, exhaust air and transfer air diffusers or grilles. C. Prior to any duct cleaning, submit digital photographs of the as-is condition of all ductwork. D. Remove visible surface contaminants and deposits from within the HVAC system in accordance with the Bidding Documents. E. The HVAC system is defined to include all interior surface of the facility's air distribution system containing internally lined ductwork as indicated in the Contract Documents and floor plan drawings. This includes ducts from the points where the air enters the system to the points where the air is discharged from the system. Coat all internally lined ductwork with a biocidal growth inhibitor. F. Encapsulate all internally lined ductwork with a water based protective coating to seal all surfaces. Encapsulation shall begin immediately at the air handler, and extend 20'-0" down the ductwork unless otherwise noted by University's Representative. G. Report all missing or degraded insulation and repair or replace as approved by University's Representative. Deliverables: A. Product Data: Submit product description and list of materials. B. Submit digital photographs of the as-is condition of all ductwork. C. Submit digital photograph of the ductwork interiors after the work is complete. The "after" photographs shall correspond to the "before" photographs for validation of the work. D.
