The Town of Edisto Beach is accepting bids to provide materials and install Fence at two locations on Edisto Beach. Estimated project value: 20,000-30,000 SCOPE OF WORK The Town has two sites that require fence installation. The new water plant located at 2502 Lee Street. This site is not fenced. It requires installation of approximately 281 feet of 5 foot smooth top aluminum black (Floridian-type) ornamental fence and 1-8' gate and 2-5 foot walk in gates. Installation of approximately 394 feet of 6 foot high wood privacy fence. There is a stump where existing privacy fence on the property line is and where the new privacy will attach that needs to be ground. The convenience station is located at 2503 Lee Street. This site is fenced. Fence will be removed and part of the fence will be repurposed to subdivide the site. Remainder shall be disposed. Contractor will install 650 feet of 6 foot high vertical wood privacy fence, 2-20' cantilever gates, 1-16' double swing gate, and one 5' walk through gate. The Town would prefer to have approximately 130 feet of aluminum framed vertical privacy fence with a system like "Tahoe slip fence" or "fence trac" to tie the look of the convenience station into the aluminum fence of the water plant. The aluminum framed fence would face Holmes and a part of Lee Street up to the first gate. The contractor will need to clear around the fence on the south side and west sides. Contractor must provide a sketch of both project sites indicating location of gates. The Town will consider alternate proposals and value engineering.
