This contract encompasses the provision of all labour, materials and equipment necessary for the reconstruction of Garner Road from McLeod Road to Warren Woods Avenue including but not limited to full depth road reconstruction to an urbanized cross section including base course asphalt, new concrete sidewalk, sanitary & storm sewers, street lighting upgrades and all related appurtenances. To accommodate the Storm Outfall along Brown Road an Enbridge gasmain must be relocated. In the event the works are not completed prior to commencement, the Contractor is responsible to co-ordinate gasmain replacement/realignment with Enbridge at Brown Road to accommodate such works. The Contractor will be compensated per contract items for any removals and restoration, but the replacement/realignment must be executed by Enbridge. The City will pay Enbridge directly for any associated costs for the replacement/relocation. Facilitating of this is included in the awarding of this contract and no additional cost shall be paid. Bell Utilities are completing a relocations of infrastructure plant along Garner Road between McLeod Road and Brown Road to assist with facilitating the proposed works. The successful bidder will be required to coordinate the contracted works with Bell to ensure requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act are adhered to and timing of the Substantial Completion of works are met. Facilitating of this is included in the awarding of this contract and no additional cost shall be paid.
