The City of Tamarac is hereby requesting Bids, from qualified Contractors, for the construction/installation of eight (8) new traffic calming parabolic speed hump systems. The parabolic speed humps systems include, but are not limited to, all asphalt removal and disposal, new asphaltic concrete construction of the parabolic speed humps, the installation of all applicable pavement markings and signage, and the removal and relocation of any existing signage that may be required to facilitate the speed hump systems, in accordance with the design plan, details and technical specifications. This project also consists of two (2) roundabouts and associated median improvements with RA curb, D curb, F curb and header curb with brick pavers, turf blocks and landscaping improvements. Roundabout medians consist of irrigation and landscaping with electrical conduit stub-outs for future power. Roundabouts consist of, but not limited to, signage and striping, sidewalk improvements, ADA Ramps with truncated domes and concrete flumes in front of catch basins, in accordance with the design plan, details and technical specifications. The following items are not eligible for transportation surtax funding: decorative lighting and road signage, brick pavers, and similar items; and landscaping improvements that are not within the public right of way. All costs associated with such work must be adequately and separately itemized and paid by Municipality with non-transportation surtax funds. **NOTE** This is a Broward County Mobility Advancement Program Project with a goal for Certified Broward County Business Enterprises (CBE) participation of forty percent (40%)of the value of the project. Bidders will be required to submit information with their response detailing their ability to meet this goal.
