The work will include modifications of the existing signals with the re-use of the existing mast arm poles, and cabinet/controller. All underground conduits, pull boxes, signal heads, backplates, above and below ground wiring will be replaced. The luminaires will be changed to LED fixtures. Existing signal phasing will be retained with the addition of pedestrian signals and push buttons in the north-south directions. The cabinet/controller will be relocated to a new base with cabinet guard. Possible additive alternate construction which may or may not be included are: furnishing and installing spare 3" conduits around intersections, furnishing and installing junction cabinet, and furnishing and installing emergency preemption systems. All necessary pavement markings will be included. City forces will be responsible for furnishing and installing various items of work as part of the project. This project consists of the rehabilitation of the traffic signal system at the interchange of Elm Place and State Highway 51 within the City of Broken Arrow. Night work on this project is allowable due to traffic control issues. Contract time for project shall be Ninety (90) calendar days. Currently, no pre-bid meeting is planned for this project. As a Proposal Guarantee, a certified check, cashier's check, bid bond or irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured financial institution as required by law must accompany each Proposal for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid made payable, without reserve, to the City of Broken Arrow. The Successful Bidder, must, within ten (10) days after receiving notice of award, furnish a Performance Bond, Statutory Bond and Maintenance Bond in the forms prescribed by City of Broken Arrow in the amounts equal to the Contract Price.
