Sub-bidders should be prepared to take whatever action is necessary to complete the Work in a timely manner, including but not hmit-ed to working overtime hours, all within the Contract Sum and at no additional cost to the Bellingham. School District. Bidders and sub-bidders who are not prepared to take such actions to timely complete the Project should not bid this Project. No pre-bid meeting will be held for the Project due to current environment and COVID-19 protocols. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond with a State-licensed surety, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid, made payable to the Bellingham School :District. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond, including Washington State sales tax. Such bonds shall be furnished by a surety company acceptable to Owner. The Bellingham School District shall have the right to accept the lowest responsive bid from a responsible bidder, provided the bid has been submitted in accor-dance with the requirements of the Bidding Documents and does not exceed the funds available. The Owner shall have the right to waive informalities on a bid or bids and to accept bid(s), which, in the Owner's judgment is in the District's best. interest.
