Renovation of an educational facility in Aurora, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

For all projects with a total dollar value above $150,000 Notice of Final Settlement is required by C.R.S. 38-26-107(1). Final Settlement, if required, will be advertised via: Electronic Media Scope includes some demolition of finishes, ceiling, portions of soffits and a partial height wall in the public area directly outside the Communications suite as well as an opening in the south Communications Suite wall for a new door. The existing south communications wall will be partially demolished (gyp board and any acoustic batt inside the wall removed) and new acoustic construction added to the wall. Two new acoustic walls will be built on the public side to create a new room for television content to be recorded. The scope includes a new ceiling grid and specialized acoustic ceiling tiles. Two lengths of Unistrut will be added to the ceiling - suspended from threaded rod to the deck to support piping supplied by the video equipment supplier to hold lighting. The existing west wall window to the exterior will be sealed and walled over with provisions for a large monitor to be hung on the west wall. The new walls will be painted, new carpet and base added. An existing fire extinguisher cabinet will be relocated and flooring patched on the public side. Mechanical and Electrical will have minor demolition and a new VAV will be added along with new lighting for the room and possible relocation of fire/sprinkler systems. Notice is hereby given to all interested parties that all firms will be required to meet all minimum requirements to be considered for this project. To be considered as qualified, interested firms shall have, as a minimum: 1. Provided General Contracting services within the last three (3) years for at least two (2) projects each in excess of $100,000 (hard costs), utilizing the expertise present in their Colorado Office; and 2. Demonstrated specific General Contracting experience in projects of similar scope and complexity; and 3. Demonstrated bonding capability up to $150,000 for an individual project coincidentally with current and anticipated workloads; provide letter from surety that affirms this capacity. Firms meeting the minimum requirements may obtain the bidding documents on the website accompanying this advertisement. Preference shall be given to Colorado resident bidders and for Colorado labor, as provided by law.
