Site work and paving for a road / highway in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Roadway Paving Contract: Sayre Borough will be receiving bids for the following: Base Bid: Approximately 9,522 SY of milling 2" depth, approx. 5,198 SY of milling 5.5" depth, furnish and place approx. 1,149 ton of 25 mm asphalt base course, furnish and place approx. 1,619 ton of 9.5mm asphalt wearing course 1.5" and 2" depths. Alternate Bid #1: Approx. 4,800 SF of subgrade prep, approx. 120 ton of 25mm asphalt base course, and approx. 60 ton of 9.5mm asphalt wearing course. Alternate Bid #2: Approx. 398 SY of milling 6" depth, approx. 1,749 SY of milling 2" depth, 90 ton of 25mm asphalt base course, and approx. 220 ton of 9.5mm asphalt wearing courses. Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the contract is required of all bidders for each contract. Performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract, as well as proof of worker's compensation insurance will be required within 20 days of receiving notice of being awarded the bid to each contract. All work and material must meet current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Form 408 and its Supplements. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply to projects, wage rates will be provided.
