This project generally consists of construction of traffic signal improvements at the intersections of N. 5th Street at Ann Road, N. 5th Street at Lone Mountain Road, and N. 5th Street at Gowan Road that involves removing the existing asphaltic concrete pavement, median island, curb, gutter, sidewalk, signs, landscaping, and replacing with new asphaltic concrete pavement; installation of traffic signal systems including video image detection systems, fiber optic pull boxes, and other elements inherent in this type of work. The construction also includes roadway excavation, subbase, base course, asphalt pavement, sidewalk, sidewalk ramps with tactile warning panels, curb and gutter, full-depth medians, adjusting manholes and valves, storm drain, utility relocations, traffic signs, striping, and associated appurtenances. With Federal funds associated with this Project, the Contractor shall pay each classification the higher of either the Clark County prevailing wage rate or the Davis-Bacon wage rate, and State Bidder Preference will not be taken into consideration. In addition, the work will be subject to the "Buy America" provisions for the procurement of iron and steel. The Project shall be completed within two hundred forty (240) consecutive calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed, which time shall include resolution of all punch list items, final cleanup, and demobilization. A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for the safety of the public in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
