Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Clinton, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project is funded in part by the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation through its Local Bridge Program (50% State Funded). Therefore; this contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including non-discrimination statutes and set-aside requirements. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services. The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. This is a prevailing wage job. The Town Manager reserves the right to reject any, or any part of, or all proposals; to waive informalities and technicalities and to accept the Bid which the Town deems to be in the best interest of the Town, whether or not it is the lowest dollar amount.
