Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Glen Carbon, Illinois. Design plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
This project may contain Federal Funds. This project requires 20% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.07. This project consists of the pavement widening and bridge repair/widening/replacements on I-270 from the Mississippi River to East of IL 111 including interchange reconstruction at IL 3, intersection reconstruction at IL 111 and Chain of Rocks Road and may include interchange reconstruction at I-270 and IL 111. This work will be broken into at least four construction projects over more than five years. The completion date for this contract will be 120 months after authorization to proceed.
