Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Rock Falls, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The contractor will use excavation equipment to push the material in a south by south-east directionuntil the property is sufficiently level at a rough grade. Contractors are encouraged to visit the site toexamine the conditions. The contractor should have, as a minimum requirement, a D5 Bulldozer. All contractors must be licensed and bonded in the City of Rock Falls and able to provide an insurancecertificate to the Park District prior to commencement of the project. Contractors will be paid 50% of the contract price when 50% of the work is completed and approved by the Park District. The balance of the contract will be paid when the project iscompleted and approved by the Park District. Contractors will have until October 13, 2020 to complete the work conditions of the bid. A) There will be a penalty of $100.00 a day beginning on October 13, 2020 for any work thatis yet to be completed. B) The contract start date will be: July 20, 2020 . The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the owner.
