Project No : 19034.00 The City of Boston acting by its Public Facilities Commission, through its Director of the Public Facilities Department (PFD), 10th Floor, 26 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108, hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby invites sealed bids for the entitled project. Bids shall be on a form supplied by PFD, be clearly identified as a bid, and signed by the bidder. All bids for this project are subject to sections 26-27, 29 and 44A-44J, inclusive of Chapter 149 of the General Laws, as amended, and in accordance with the terms and provisions of the contract documents entitled: East Boston Senior Center Demolition. The work is further detailed in the specifications and includes full interior demolition and abatement. Corona COVID-19 Precaution notice: Anyone attending site viewing(s) will be required to follow state and city precaution guidelines by wearing the necessary face mask and practicing safe distancing. General Bids will be valid only when accompanied by: (1) a Certificate of Eligibility issued by DCAMM, showing that the general contractor has been approved in Demolition bid on projects the size and nature of that advertised; and, (2) an Update Statement summarizing the general contractor's record for the period between the latest DCAMM certification and the date the general contractor submits its bid. Bidders are hereby notified that bid deposits must be 5% of his/her bid and shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check, treasurer's check, or cashier's check and made payable to the City of Boston. A performance bond and labor and materials payment bond satisfactory to the Awarding Authority, of a surety company licensed to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and included on the U.S. Treasury current list of approved sureties (See Circular 570), in the sum of 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any and all bids.
