The objective for this project is a resurfacing of Asphalt Pavement on Norton Simon Museum Parking Lot. The work includes: Asphalt concrete cold pane removal and hot mix asphalt pavement placement; including localized area reconstruction, saw-cutting, excavation, removal and disposal of the AC sections, removal and reconstruction of damaged concrete improvements including curb; adjustment of existing utility frame and covers, adjustment of existing curb drains; the installation of permanent parking striping; installation of vehicle traffic striping; subgrade scarifying, root pruning, removal and disposal; and miscellaneous appurtenant work. CONTRACTOR shall coordinate approval of parking lot area closures and provide safe and adequate pedestrian access at all times. Vehicular movement at non closed areas, and around all construction sites shall be provided and maintained at all times. Approved barriers and signs (traffic flagging personnel, if necessary), shall be furnished and utilized by the CONTRACTOR to ensure safety and public access to businesses at all times.
