Work Consist of Removal and Replacement of Existing Runway and Taxi Edge Lights Signage Reils and Papi Units With New Led Equipment, in Addition the Project Includes a Significant Amount of Equipment Replacement in the Airfield Electrical Vault The construction work shall generally consist of the removal and replacement of the existing runway and taxiway edge lights, signage, REILs and PAPI units with new LED equipment. In addition, the project includes a significant amount of equipment replacement and upgrades in the airfield electrical vault. The project is divided into a base and two additive bids. The Base Bid includes removal and replacement of the runway edge lights, circuits, and regulator, REILs on new foundations, all airfield guidance signage on new foundations, and the re-wiring of the lighted wind cone. In addition, vault work including electrical panel replacement, radio control unit replacement, and replacing the regulator for the PAPIs is included. The Engineer shall have authority to order minor changes in the Work not involving adjustment of the contract sum or extension of the contract time and not inconsistent with the intent of the contract document. Such changes shall be effected by written order and shall be binding on the Owner and Contractor. The Contractor shall carry out such written orders promptly and the Contractor shall receive no additional compensation therefor, nor shall there be any change in the contract time as a result thereof.
