Sealed proposals are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the construction of various improvements for the West Ave. Elevated Storage Tank Painting and Rehabilitation Project, SAWS Job No.18-0110. The improvements include: Rehabilitation of a 500,000 gallon welded steel, elevated storage tank, including the surface preparation and repainting of the interior and exterior surfaces; replacement of specified tank appurtenances; surface preparation and painting of a well pump and piping assembly; site grading and paving; chlorine system upgrades; site fencing improvements; yard piping; a new shade canopy; electrical equipment including conductors, control panels, generator connections, permanent generator and SCADA controls; demolition of existing vaults, electrical equipment and other miscellaneous work for a complete in place facility. Electronic bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price.
