Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Sidewalk Repairs on Various Streets, including Pedestrian Ramps Upgrades, in the City of Boston. The work to be done under this contract shall consist of making repairs to existing brick, Portland cement concrete and bituminous sidewalks and driveways, resetting of edgestone, installation of new edgestone, and construction of pedestrian ramps. The pedestrian ramp operation shall consist of constructing pedestrian ramps that comply with all American with Disability Act (ADA) and Massachusetts Architectural Access Board (MAAB) requirements. Locations and dimensions of the ramps will be directed by the Engineer. The work shall also include: adjustments to or installation of drainage structures and pull boxes; removal of trees and stumps; removal and replacement of parking meter posts; and crosswalk striping, markings for proposed road lanes, crosswalks, and bike lanes where required; and installing wire loop detectors where required. This work shall conform to the accompanying Special Provisions, Technical Specifications, Contract Drawings, the Massachusetts Highway Department,,1988 c edition of the Standard Specifications for Highway and Bridges - Divisions II and III - with supplements, the Rules and Specifications for Excavation in the City of Boston where applicable, and the Boston Water & Sewer Commission Standards where applicable. Requirements and covenants are set forth herein.
