Site work for a water / sewer project in Portland, Oregon. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project replaces 9,300 linear feet of existing 100- to 120-year old clay combined sewer pipes with larger pipes to increase hydraulic capacity in the area generally bound by NW Overton, 11th, Kearny, and 21st. Project will reduce the risk of street flooding at 35 locations and basement sewer backup risk to 112 parcels. As of August 24, 2021, this project is included in the City of Portland FY 2022-2027 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2025-2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
