Site work for a library in Kingston, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a library.
The project work includes removal of plantings, as well as new landscaping and seeding for the entire site, as per the drawings. The work of the successful bidder(s) must be coordinated with the Owner who will be occupying the building throughout the project. Accessible entrances and exits must be kept clear of work during normal hours of operation. Contractors will be permitted to work within the areas only during Library operating hours, unless agreed upon by the Owner for certain aspects of the work. It is the intention of the Project to be both environmentally and fiscally conscious of paper use and consumption. The project is tax exempt and a Tax Exempt Certificate will be provided to the successful bidder. The project shall use Prevailing Wages for Ulster County, in New York State. The Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule is included as part of the contract documents. Contractors are required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Price. Performance Bond and Payment Bond for 100% of the Contract Sum will be required prior to executing the Construction Contract. Failure to submit the Bid Bond with the Bid may be cause for rejection. Refer to other Bidding requirements described in Document 002113 Instructions to Bidders. Contractors are encouraged to visit the site prior to bidding. Contact the Library at (845) 331-0507 during library hours for access to the site. Contact: Margie Menard, library director. Contractors bid offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after submission. The Owner expressly reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids submitted in response to this bid solicitation and/or to accept any portion of said bid and reject the balance.
