Restoration project, generally comprised of milling of existing pavement and full width bituminous concrete wearing course roadway paving, replacement of a cement concrete handicapped accessible curb cut ramp, and all incidental work related thereto. Clarification Deadline: 8/7/2020 12:00 PM The Work will be substantially complete within sixty (60) days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within seventy-five (75) days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. All construction work is included in one (1) Prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis with alternate bids as indicated in the Bid Form. Each Bid, when submitted, must be accompanied by a "Bid Security" in an amount of 10% of Bidder's maximum Bid price to be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidder(s) attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum wages and salaries in accordance with provisions of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442 and contained in the Contract Documents, must be paid throughout the duration of this project. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price. The Hanover Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities in the Bidding. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. These bonds must remain in effect until one year after the date when final payment becomes due or until completion of the correction period specified in Paragraph 15.08, whichever is later, except as provided otherwise by Laws or Regulations, the terms of a prescribed bond form, the Supplementary Conditions, or other provisions of the Contract.
