Renovation of a municipal facility in Santa Maria, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Modify the building air conditioning system for redundancy in case the computer grade air conditioning fails, install controls to support existing computer grade air conditioning units for the server room, and incidental and supplemental electrical work. The CONTRACTOR shall possess either a C-20 license or a Class B license (with a C-20 licensed subcontractor listed). All questions should be submitted by 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 19, 2020 to the Project Manager, Todd Morrison, General Services, (805) 934-6228 or tmorris@co.santa-barbara.ca.us. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code, the CONTRACTOR shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. A copy of the prevailing rate of per diem wages is on file at the General Services Department. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 4104 of the California Public Contracting Code a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in Section 4104, unless currently registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 California Labor Code. The COUNTY reserves the right to reject any and or all bids or waive any informality in a bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The COUNTY reserves the right to select any one or any combination of bids, whichever is in the best interest of the COUNTY. The successful CONTRACTOR (after receiving the Notice to Proceed) shall have 60 calendar days to complete all work called for under the Contract Documents. The liquidated damages will be $100 Dollars per day for project delays that are determined to be attributable to the CONTRACTOR.
