The project will address compromised hydraulics, vegetation sustainability, and treatment performance caused by inappropriate treatment cell features and ground elevations. During standard operations, the spreader canals cells distribute water internally to sheet flow across the treatment cells and into to the collector canals. Generally, the performance of this standard operation will be improved in Cell 2 by the regrading of areas within the cell and reconstructing plugs in the east canal. Directions: The Stormwater Treatment Area 2 (STA-2) Project Site is located in Palm Beach County, approximately 35 miles south-west of West Palm Beach, Florida, and is within the West Palm Beach Field Station area of responsibility. The project is bordered to the north by the STA-2 Seepage Canal, to the east by Water Conservation Area 2A (WCA-2A) and to the west by the L-18 canal, State Road 27, and STA-3/4. Access to the Site is through District Gate # G-L-18-02.00E (26.4281764, -80.6097316) on State Road 27, approximately 18 miles south of the intersection with State Road 80.
