The Town of Huntersville is committed to providing opportunities for small and disadvantage businesses. The Town encourages bids from Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB). The Project includes a base bid and a bid alternate. Bidders must provide a bid for both the base bid and the bid alternate. Failure to do so will render the bid non-responsible and ineligible for award. If awarded, the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder, taking into account quality, performance and time. The Town reserves the right to determine the lowest responsible bidder and to award the contract based on the base bid only, or a combination of the base bid and the bid alternate. It is the Contractor's responsibility to ensure that their proposals are actually received by the Town by the deadline. The Town Board of Huntersville reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals for any reason and at any time and to waive minor informalities. Attending representatives are to follow all state and local COVID-19 guidelines, which may include the need to wear face coverings. Milling and Resurfacing of approximately 5.7 miles of roadway on various streets within the Town of Huntersville, NC, as shown on Exhibit A, B & D to this Contract Proposal. Bid Alternate No.1 (Exhibit C): Milling and resurfacing approximately half a mile of roadway between the hours of 9 PM and 6 AM.
