All questions regarding this RFQ are to be directed to the Procurement Analyst Kim Randall. Quoters may not communicate with County employees or representatives about the RFQ during the procurement process until the Procurement office has notified Quoters of the selected Quoter. Communication in violation of this restriction may result in rejection of a Quoter. Completion: April 30, 2021 SCOPE Background: Clackamas County Parks is seeking a qualified contractor to drill and install a new potable water well at Barton Park in the Day-Use area as well as cap and fill two (2) existing shallow wells. The new well will be used for supplying drinking water and other recreational uses (e.g. restroom fixtures, picnic shelter sinks) in the park Day-Use area, and may also be used for irrigation in the East Campground. The nearby Barton West well (CLAC 70813) was drilled to 762 feet. The well log indicates the driller hit the basalt aquifer at 682 feet. The location for this new well is approximately 1,400 feet away from the Barton West well, at a location approximately 30 feet lower in elevation. The existing pump house in the Day-Use area has a 3-phase power service. Scope of Work: Contractor to perform all work necessary to install a well capable of producing approximately 80 gallons per minute ("gpm") in accordance with the State of Oregon Well Construction Standards, connection and testing of the well and control systems, and site cleanup as identified in the following: The well shall be drilled, cased and sealed down through the Troutdale aquifer, and into the basalt aquifer to avoid hydraulic connection with the Clackamas River, in order to be eligible for a water rights within 1/4 mile of the river. The well shall be constructed to develop water from a single basalt aquifer, and have no more than 100 feet of open interval in the basalt.
