Pavement, Grind and Overlay, Removal and Replacement of a.c. Berms and Curbs, Caltrans Traffic Loop Replacement, Weed Killing and Crack Sealing, Application of Type I Slurry Seal, Traffic Control, Storm Water Pollution Prevention, Pavement Striping and Markings, Utility Adjustments, and Other Miscellaneous Improvements as Required to Complete the Contemplated Scope of Work in the Woods Cove, Diamond-crestview and Hobo Canyon Neighborhoods in the City of Laguna Beach.n-4 Award of Contract: (a) the City Reserves the Right After Opening Bids to Reject Any or All Bids, to Waive Any Informality (Non-responsiveness) in a Bid, or to Make Award to the Lowest Responsive, Responsible Bidder and Reject All Other Bids, as It May Best Serve the Interest of the City. (B) as a Condition of Award, the Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Submit Payment and Performance Bonds and Insurance.n-5 Completion of Work and Liquidated Damages: It Shall Be Mandatory Upon the Contractor to Whom the Contract is Awarded and Upon Any Subcontractor Under Him to Pay Not Less Than Said Specified Rates to All Workers Employed by Them in the Execution of the Contract. All Parties to the Contract Shall Be Governed by All Provisions of the California Labor Code Relating to Prevailing Wage Rates; Sections 1770-1781 Inclusive.n-8 Retainage From Payments: the Contractor May Elect to Receive 100 Percent of Payments Due Under the Contract Documents From Time to Time, Without Retention of Any Portion of the Payments by the City, by Depositing Securities of Equivalent Value With the City in Accordance With the Provisions of Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code.n-9 Liquidated Damages Shall Be $2,000 Per Calendar Day.n-6 Contractor License Classification: the Contractor Shall Possess a Valid Class a, General Engineering, or C-12, Earthwork and Paving Contractor License at the Time of Submitting Bids, in Accordance With Provisions of Chapter 9, Division Iii of the California Business and Profession's Code.n-7 Wage Rate Requirements: in Accordance With the Provisions of Sections 1773.2 of the California Labor Code, Copies of the General Prevailing Rate of Per Diem Wages as Determined by the State Director of Industrial Relations Are Available Interested Firms Must Be Registered on the City the Bid Documents in Order to Submit a Bid. Firms Must Also Check the Website Periodically for Addenda Information as Failure to Download Any and All Addenda Will Result in Bid Disqualification.n-10 Registration With the Department of Industrial Relations: No Contractor or Subcontractor May Be Listed on a Bid Proposal for a Public Works Project (Submitted on or After March 1, 2015) Unless Registered With the Department of Industrial Relations Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 [with Limited Exceptions From This Requirement for Bid Purposes Only Under Labor Code Section 1771.1(a)]. No Contractor or Subcontractor May Be Awarded a Contract for Public Work on a Public Works Project (Awarded on or After April 1, 2015) Unless Registered With the Department of Industrial Relations Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. This Project is Subject to Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
