Description of the Work: The Owner will receive bids to provide and install a new warning siren. The Work to be performed includes, provision of one (1) American Signal T-128 AC/DC (60A 240V, single phase) 128dBc rotational warning siren including battery backup, and all mounting hardware. Installation of siren shall be on new 60 foot tall wooden utility pole and include radio controller, antenna system, and motor sensors as required for complete compatibility with the Kendall County, IL "KenCom" system. Work By Others: Electrical Service Basis of Bids: Bids will be a single contract, lump sum. Time of Completion: Work is to be completed within one hundred eighty(180) calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The project will be constructed in accordance with the City of Plano Municipal Code, and all applicable State and Federal Laws. Prevailing wage rates for Kendall County, Illinois will apply to this project and must be included in the bid amount. B. The Contractor shall purchase and maintain during the duration of the project, from a company authorized to do business in the State of Illinois, such insurance as to protect the Contractor and Owner from claims arising from the Contractor's operations under the Contract, and for which the Contractor or Sub-Contractors or anyone employed by any of them, for whose acts they may be liable. Coverages and minimum limits of liability shall be set forth as follows or as required law, which ever coverage is greater. 1. Worker's Compensation a) Employer's Liability i) Bodily Injury by accident - $2,000,000.00 each accident ii) Bodily Injury by accident - $2,000,000.00 each employee iii) Bodily Injury by accident - $2,000,000.00 each policy unit 2. Commercial General Liability Insurance a) Bodily Injury Liability, or Property Damage Liability or both combined - $2,000,000.00 b) General Aggregate $2,000,000.00 c) Products / Completed Operations $2,000,000.00 3. Automotive Liability Insurance a) Each occurrence, Bodily Injury Liability, or Property Damage Liability or both combined - $2,000,000.00 4. Owner's and Architect's Protective Liability Insurance a) Each occurrence, Bodily Injury Liability, or Property Damage Liability or both combined - $1,000,000.00 5. Umbrella / Excess Liability Insurance a) Each Occurrence $4,000,000.00 b) Aggregate $4,000,000.00 D. The City of Plano shall be named as "additional insured" on the General Liability and Automobile Liability Policies. The City of Plano reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities in the bids, and award the Contract in the best interests of the Owner.
