This project generally consists of reconstructing W Viking Road from Production Drive to South Union Road with a new roundabout at the intersection of Innovation Drive. The project also includes curb and gutter installation from Production Drive to Hudson Road. Additional project items includes clearing and grubbing, removals, storm sewer, water main, sanitary sewer, grading, trail, lighting, signing, pavement markings, traffic control, erosion control, landscaping, and final surface restoration. Est. Value: $ 7,822,524.00 Est. Completion Date: May 30, 2026 Bidders shall provide a bid security in the amount defined in the Instructions to Bidders- Division 1 Section 05. The successful Bidder shall furnish to the City a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing the completed project against defective workmanship and materials for a period of two (2) years from and after completion and acceptance by the City. The successful Bidder shall also provide a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing payment of all persons supplying labor and materials, or both, in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. The work under the proposed contract shall commence within ten (10) calendar days after the date set forth in the written Notice to Proceed and shall be performed regularly and diligently throughout the duration of the project. Contractor shall be substantially completed with all utilities and pavement installed and open to the general public no later than November 21, 2025. Liquidated damages in the amount of $2,000 per calendar day shall be assessed for each calendar day that utilities and pavement are not installed and operational after the substantial completion date. The Contractor shall fully complete the project no later than May 30th , 2026. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000 per calendar day shall be assessed for each calendar day that work remains uncompleted after the completion date. As of July 06, 2021 no new CIP issued, this project is currently in the FY 2021-2026 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2022.
