Engineer's Estimate: $1,300,000 (Base Bid); $1,500,000 (Total with Bid Alternates) For Phase II - Chapel Road Sewer Improvements The Project Base Bid consists of CIPP lining work of approximately 6,118 linear feet of RCP sewer pipe ranging from 24" to 36" in diameter in the Town of South Windsor. In addition to the Base Bid, the Project also includes sixteen CIPP lining Bid Alternates, consisting of approximately 1,118 linear feet of 15" RCP sewer pipe, approximately 104 linear feet of 10" Vitrified Clay sewer pipe, approximately 308 linear feet of 12" Vitrified Clay sewer pipe, and approximately 1,791 linear feet of 8" Truss sewer pipe, in the Town of South Windsor. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Bids will be compared and awarded on the basis of the Base Bid (not including alternates). Owner shall select and choose bid alternates only after the Bid is awarded based on the Base Bid. An addendum will be issued to the bidding documents if the Engineer of Record deems applicable. A completed Bid Form, Qualifications Statement, Compliance Statement, Non-Collusion Affidavit, proposed list of subcontractors, contractor's license, and bid security in the amount of five percent of the Base Bid must be submitted with the Bid. The Bid Security may be either a proposal guaranty bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Connecticut, or a certified check drawn upon a bank within the State of Connecticut. Bid Security shall be made payable to Town of South Windsor. Bids submitted without Bid Security will not be considered. No Bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after receipt of Bids unless released by the Owner. The successful bidder must furnish within 10 calendar days after the Notice of Award the required number of copies of the signed Agreement, plus a 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, and begin execution of this contract within 10 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. This Procurement is subject to the requirements contained in Section 22a-482-4, (h), (j), and (o) of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies.
