Demolition and site work for a transportation facility in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
The work site is located at Harrisburg International Airport in Middletown, Pennsylvania. The work is generally described as demolishing old and abandoned buildings and removing environmentally sensitive materials from the building. Base Bid Building 26 - Mobilization of equipment, building demolition, site restoration. The work generally involves the complete demolition of the former military headquarters ("Building 26"), removal of environmentally sensitive materials, restoring the site, providing a crushed aggregate base course finished surface (PENNDOT #2A Stone) for Building 26 footprint, constructing drainage inlet and storm drain connection to existing system, installing ADA ramps, sidewalk replacement, and providing professional survey documentation. Building 96 - Mobilization of equipment, building demolition and site restoration. The work generally involves the complete demolition of the former military barracks building ("Building 96"), removal of environmentally sensitive materials, proper closure of five groundwater monitoring wells, restoring the site, providing grass (seed and mulch) finished surface for Building 96 footprint, sidewalk replacement, and providing professional survey documentation. Bid Additive No. 1 Mill and Overlay for 2,140 square yards of Airport Drive in front of Building 26, including pavement markings for roadway. Bid Additive No. 2 Paving of Building 26 Footprint and Miscellaneous Demolition areas. This also includes a deduct for PENNDOT #2A stone from Base Bid to construct pavement section to same finished elevation as Base Bid. Bid Additive No. 3 Paving of Building 26 Lot Area outside of building footprint to the limits shown on the plans. All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to reject all non-conforming, non-responsive or conditional bids, in the Owners sole discretion.
