Site work and paving for a civil project in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The project is needed to remove and reconstruct the existing urban roadway, filling and re-grading the roadway profile to surface drain stormwater to the La Crosse River for flash flooding relief. The project includes possible adjustments or replacements of several utility structures and pipes for sewer, storm, and/or water utilities. The project also includes removal and salvaging, or replacement, of various streetscape materials, including lighting, bricks, and furniture. As part of the Historical and Central Business District in the City of La Crosse, this Local Street serves several thousand vehicles per day, a mix of residential, commercial, and tourist, and has extensive use by pedestrians and bicycles due to its close proximity to the Mississippi River, Riverside Park, and shared-use path along the La Crosse River.
