The utilities within the project will include, but not limited to, the replacement of storm sewer main, replacement of a storm manhole, the removal and installation of storm sewer catch basins, and the protection of existing utilities and structures both private and publicly owned. Asphalt removal, rough base gravel, and paving shall be the responsibility of the City of La Crosse Street Department. The Contractor is expected to rough grade the subbase based on depths provided in the plan. The Contractor shall be responsible for the location and reconnection of all private utility services (per plans and specifications). The Contractor shall be responsible to maintain reasonable access to the properties during course of the work and the contractor will be responsible for providing alternative access to the properties whenever primary access routes conflict with the work required under this contract. Also, the Contractor shall aid the waste management company on the days of trash and/or recycling pickup. These items shall be considered incidental to the project and will not have a bid item.
