The project also includes removal and salvaging, or replacement, of various streetscape materials, including lighting, bricks, and furniture. As part of the Historical and Central Business District in the City of La Crosse, this Local Street serves several thousand vehicles per day, a mix of residential, commercial, and tourist, and has extensive use by pedestrians and bicycles due to its close proximity to the Mississippi River, Riverside Park, and shared-use path along the La Crosse River.
