NC Parks is receiving bids to provide upgrades to the existing septic system at: Mount Mitchell State Park Restaurant 2388 NC Highway 128 Burnsville, Yancey County, NC Award of Contract: The owner plans to enter immediately into a contract for the work with completion, ready for operation within 60 days of awarding of contract. Consideration will be given to proposals of Contractors who are experienced in the class of work proposed and who can refer to projects of similar magnitude and/or character as have been completed by them. Bidder shall be capable of performing the work as outlined in this request for bid and shall acknowledge his ability to perform the work within the time limit set herein. The owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of this notice and of any of the contract documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The owner further reserves the right to reject any Proposals or to award a contract, which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner. Completion will constitute: The system is working, tested and accepted by the Engineer, Yancey County Health Department, NC DHHS-Onsite Water Protection Section and the Owner with technical and operational manuals presented. Payment will be made on the basis of 90% of the approved monthly estimates of work completed. Final payment will be made and final Certificates will be issued upon acceptance of the work.
