As of November 19,2020 the awarded contractor is Koppers Railroad Structures for $724,905. The start and completion date has not yet been determined. The Scope of Work for this project includes the timber repair of the railroad bridges on the RJ Corman Memphis Line at MP 165.80, 168.04, and 178.55 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. The repairs include caps, stringers, deck boards, piling, bracing, backwalls, and deck hole repairs. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors in the State of Tennessee in strict accordance with State regulations. No bid will be opened unless the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid provides the following information: the Contractor's name, address, and license number; the date of the license expiration; and a quotation of that part of the license classification applicable to the bid. Each Bidder must deposit (with his bid) bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for ninety (90) days following the bid opening. The right to reject any or all bids and to wave technicalities is reserved by the owner.
