A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the West Bradford Township in the amount equal to Ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid must be submitted with the proposal as Bid Security. The Contract involves, but is not limited to: Removal of twelve (12) existing steel highway light standards and concrete bases, installation of nine (9) new light standards and concrete bases along with all electrical requirements and testing, the removal of depressed curb and curb ramps with replacement of mountable curb and concrete pavement, the removal of curb ramps and sidewalk with replacement of topsoil, seed and mulch, the installation, maintenance and removal of traffic control during construction, the removal and placement of signage, the removal and placement of pavement markings. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Labor and Materials Bond with an eighteen (18) month warranty within ten (10) days of the bid award, executed by a surety authorized to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, which must be paid to workers employed on this project, are incorporated in the Contract Documents. Bidders are advised that they must comply with all State antikickback regulations pertaining to work associated with this project. West Bradford Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to refuse any or all Bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informality in Bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof.
