Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a laboratory facility; for the addition of a 9,950-square-foot laboratory facility; for the renovation of a laboratory facility; and for site work for a laboratory facility.
In general, the project consists of a 9,950 SF addition. It includes CMU, precast, and steel construction. It consists of mainly manufacturing space, but it also includes classroom, office and restroom spaces. The manufacturing space will include all required plumbing, HVAC, and electrical for equipment. The site will include decorative concrete, curb, asphalt, and landscaping. The Owner is considered a tax-exempt entity, therefore WI. Stat. 77.54(9m) will be utilized on this project. Bid security will be required for specific Work Categories. Please refer to section 00 23 00 - Work Categories for packages that will require bid bonds. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in any bid and to accept any bid which the Owner may determine to be in its best interest. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of the proposals without consent of the Owner. Work Included: In order to enable orderly review during progress of the work and to provide for systematic discussion of problems, Market & Johnson will conduct project meetings throughout the construction period.
