As of February 5 2021 project was awarded to Stonewood Landshaping, Inc. Award amount of $36,500. Exact date unknown at this point in time but likely near the end of February early March of 2021. For Schoolhouse Run Stream Channel Maintenance and Bridge Repairs The work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances for stream channel maintenance and minor bridge repairs. The work will include concrete repair, excavation, riprap placement, tree removal / brush clearing, and other related work. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 1/15/2021 12:05 PM The Work included in this Contract consists of furnishing all plant, new materials, equipment, supplies, labor, transportation, fuel and power and performing all Work as required by the Contract, in strict accordance with the Specifications, Schedules and Drawings, and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Publication 408 specifications, latest edition, all of which are made a part hereof; and including such detail Drawings as may be furnished by the ENGINEER from time to time during the construction in interpretation of said Drawings. PennDOT Publication 408 shall be adhered to regarding construction methods and materials. Contract administration and measurement and payment basis shall be as specified in these Contract Documents. The Work shall be complete and all Work, materials, and services not expressly called for in the Specifications, or specially indicated on the Drawings, which may be necessary for complete and proper construction to carry out the Contract in good faith, shall be performed, furnished and installed by the CONTRACTOR at no additional cost to the OWNER. The Work shall be executed in the best and most workmanlike manner by qualified, careful and experienced workers. A. Stream Channel Maintenance at Bridge 1. Furnish, install, and maintain all temporary erosion and sedimentation control measures and temporary construction fencing as indicated for the duration of the project. Reuse of existing rock construction entrance is encouraged and can remain in place at conclusion of project. All other erosion control measures shall be removed. Also includes final stabilization of all disturbed areas. (Lump Sum) 2. Remove all identified sediment deposits, as indicated. The amount of sediment removed from each location will vary, with the overall intent to restore the stream channel to its original cross-section. Exact areas will be identified by the ENGINEER. Removed sediment and stream rock deposits may be utilized as backfill along embankment stabilization areas. Excess sediment and rock deposits within the defined removal area shall be removed offsite and become the property of the Contractor. (Lump Sum) Place R-6 rock lining, as indicated, to stabilize the stream bank and bridge abutments. Includes all required excavation, grading, and geotextile material.
