DESCRIPTION - This work is the zone cleaning and painting of new and existing steel bridge members of Broadway Street Bridge over the Susquehanna River using a three-coat paint system comprised of an organic zinc-rich primer, an epoxy intermediate coat and a urethane finish coat. The limits of the zone work are described in Section 1070.3(b) of this specialprovision and on the project plans and drawings. This work includes abrasive blasting/paint removal, soluble salt/chloride remediation, and the application of a three-coat paint system. This project will include the rehabilitation of the existing bridge and corresponding roadway rehabilitation. The particular items of work for the contract are identified more specifically in the Bid Format, Contract Specifications and Contract Documents. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. Contractor and subcontractors are to be PennDOT prequalified. This bid is for a public works contract and bidder is therefore subject to the provisions, duties, obligations and penalties ofthe Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1-167.11. All submitted bids shall be accompanied with the Public Works Employment Verification Form. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
