This project would extend Capitol Street and Kirkwood Avenue as a part of the Riverfront Crossing area improvements. The project also includes replacement of the 12-inch water main on Capitol Street between Benton Street and the railroad to the north, water main improvements at the Benton and Clinton intersection and removal of the railroad spur across Benton Street. As of December 27 2021, this project is in the city's capital improvement plan for 2026 and is in the preliminary design stage as per source.
