Work included in this Contract will be done at the Osceola Road Solid Waste Management Facility (ORSWMF) Class I Landfill, located at 1930 Osceola Road, Geneva, Florida 32732. The Site is owned and operated by the Seminole County Solid Waste Management Division (COUNTY). The Engineers estimate for the project is $540,000.00 The Work of this construction project, in general, is the expansion of the landfill gas (LFG) management system in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications titled "2020 Phase III Landfill Gas Collection Wells Construction, Osceola Road Solid Waste Landfill". The Work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, incidentals, health and safety provisions, and performing all work necessary to provide a Landfill Gas Management System expansion consisting of: a. Construction staking/system layout/surveying prior to construction; b. Drilling of LFG exaction wells including new well heads and related appurtenances; c. Installing below grade high density polyethylene (HDPE) LFG laterals and header pipes. Header appurtenances also to be installed include, but are not limited to, fittings and connections; d. Installation of airline and force-main piping for condensate and leachate from well pumps. e. Tie-ins to the existing LFG header system at two flanged connection points; f. Tie-ins for the airline (2) and condensate/leachate force main (2); g. System start-up and testing of the LFG system. Wellhead adjustments will be made by the COUNTY and are not part of this WORK; h. Conformance surveying; and i. Providing as-built (record) documentation. CONTRACTOR shall be aware that this project is within a Class I Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) landfill, and thus aware of the potential drilling and trenching difficulties this may pose. The topographic data provided in the bid documents may not represent the site conditions at the time of bidding or start of construction. Neither the COUNTY nor the ENGINEER express, imply, or guarantee that the actual amount of WORK to be accomplished will correspond to the estimated quantities given. The Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the site to determine actual site conditions, as the construction area has been subjected to extensive landfilling activities not necessarily reflected in the design drawings. Bidders should satisfy themselves by personal examination of the project location and site conditions in order to estimate the quantity and extent of WORK based on the Bid drawings, technical specifications and any Addendum thereof, and by such other means as they choose, as to the actual conditions and requirements of the WORK and the accuracy of the estimates given in the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents. Topographic surveys performed by the CONTRACTOR as a part of the work shall be in AutoCAD 2018 (or later) format with contours of assigned elevations and shall be submitted to the Engineer in electronic format. CONTRACTOR shall complete all work described above and all other work incidental, whether specifically mentioned or not, in accordance with the Plan Drawings, Specifications, and Contract Documents.
