The City and County of San Francisco, through the SFPUC, seeks responses to a Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") from certified Tree Service Contractors ("D-49" License) interested in performing tree services and maintenance work in or near various locations within the City and County of San Francisco, and other SFPUC/City owned Lands and Rights of Way. A Class "D-49" California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing. The objective of the project is to improve safety and reduce fire risk by providing as-needed tree removal and maintenance services on short notice at locations within or near the City and County of San Francisco and other San Francisco Public Utilities Commission Lands (including watersheds and rights of way) in San Mateo, Alameda, and Santa Clara Counties, etc. The work will involve tree and plant management services related work at various locations on or near SFPUC property and rights of way and may include, but is not limited to, hazardous tree removal/pruning; stump grinding; emergency tree services; pruning of existing trees; tree service related access work including roads etc., and related tree or plant maintenance work. During the course of the contract, there may be times that the firm will need access to biological support services, a Licensed Timber Operator, and/or a person/firm holding a qualified pesticide applicators license or qualified applications certification. Bid discounts and rating bonuses may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement will be 10% for each Master Agreement. ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small and/or Micro-LBEs certified by the Contract Monitoring Division can be utilized to meet this requirement. SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 10% requirement. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited to, the following major types of work: tree services and trucking and hauling. Applicant's attendance at this conference is worth 15 points toward Chapter 14B "Good Faith Outreach" requirements. Documented attendance in a teleconference pre- qualification meeting will satisfy this requirement. Applicant's attendance at this conference is worth 15 points toward Chapter 14B "Good Faith Outreach" requirements. Applicants must achieve at least 80 points (out of a possible 100 points), as determined by CMD, to be deemed compliant with the "Good Faith Outreach" requirements, except those who exceed the above stated LBE subcontracting participation requirement by 35% under Section 14B.8(B) of the Administrative Code.
