Renovation of a medical facility in Syracuse, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking qualifications of architectural firms to lead projects that may involve the partial renovations, modifications and reconfigurations of the interior and/or exterior of SUNY Upstate Downtown and Community hospitals, support, service and facilities buildings. The projects scopes may include modifications to building structure, envelope and building systems including: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, communications systems, audio-visual and/or other systems. Services may also include full design and construction phase services or may be limited to planning studies, investigations, feasibility studies or condition assessments. The planning studies may include investigative assessment of the underlying causes of existing conditions, construction phasing and impact analysis, cost estimates, and/or other services. Services will be requested and contracted on an as needed basis and the type and value or each project will vary. The focus of this solicitation is to select three (3) Architectural firms to provide architectural and/or engineering expertise on various design/construction projects located on both of the University's campuses over a three (3) year term. All questions to be by fax or email (email is preferred) to each: Ivy Lopez (Lopezi@upstate.edu) and Jenny Lee Ragan (Raganj@Upstate.edu). The RFQ is due 2:00 PM - Monday, October 5th, 2020. The date and time for the last questions to be considered is 5:00 PM - Monday, September 28, 2020. All questions will be answered by 5:00 PM - Tuesday, September 29, 2020.These will be issued as an Addendum. State University of New York goals are: 15% MBE participation and 15% WBE participation of the total contract value and 6% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business participation goal. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project. The selected consultant will be required to comply with M/WBE requirements. The State University of New York Upstate Medical University reserves the right to reject any or all Qualification packages.
