The intent of this bid is for the rehabilitation of the existing 1.0 MG 720 Pressure Plane Elevated Storage Tank, including interior and exterior painting, site improvements, and rehabilitation and/or replacement of various tank appurtenances. This bid will be awarded by the City to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The construction covered by the contract documents shall be fully completed within 180 calendar days. All bid submissions shall include the following: 1. Bidder Information Sheet; 2. Pricing Sheet (Bid Schedule); 3. Bid Bond (City form provided); 4. Bond Requirement Affidavit (City form provided); 5. Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (provided, submit only if applicable); and 6. Credit Check Authorization (City form provided) The bidder is required to submit a bid bond from a reliable surety company, payable without recourse to the order of the City of Temple, in an amount not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid submitted as a guarantee that bidder will enter into a contract within ten (10) days and execute all necessary bonds (if required) within thirty (30) days after notice of award of the contract to him. Bidders are encouraged to use the City's bid bond form. The City may reject bids which include bid bonds submitted on something other than the City's form if it determines in its sole discretion that the bid bond does not provide the same level of protection as the City's bid bond form provides. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof or after award of the contract by the City Council of the City of Temple. Withdrawal of bid before the end of the sixty (60) days or after award of the contract by the City Council of the City of Temple will be penalized with the forfeiture of the bidder's bid bond, if applicable. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formality in the bidding. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond in accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 2253, Subchapter B, 2253.021 in the amount of 100% of the total contract price.
