The scope of the project includes installing a 53,000-gallon bolted galvanized steel ground storage tank along with a liquid propane engine driven standby generator as shown on the drawings and specifications. The chain-link fence will also need to be constructed and adjusted as shown on the Drawings and Specifications. Special attention is drawn to the fact that this project is grant funded and requires a temporary project sign and permanent plaque. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Snook or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Performance Bonds - Requires all prime contractors which enter into a formal contract in excess of $100,000 with the State, a county, or a municipality; a department, board, or agency of the state, a county, or a municipality; and a school district or a subdivision thereof, to obtain a Performance Bond in the amount of the contract before commencing with work. Payment Bonds- Requires all prime contractors which enter into a formal contract with the State, a county, or a municipality; a department, board, or agency of the state, a county, or a municipality; and a school district or a subdivision thereof, to furnish to the governmental entity a payment bond in the amount of the contract. Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially complete within 180 calendar days after the date when the Contract Time commences to run, and will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 47 of the General Conditions within 200 calendar days after the date when the Contract Time commences to run. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. The City of Snook reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Snook for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Bidder accepts the provisions of the Agreement as to liquidated damages in the event of failure to complete the Work within the Contract Times.
