Site work for a water / sewer project in La Canada Flintridge, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of La Cañada Flintridge (City) is Soliciting Bid Proposals From Qualified Contractors for Investigation and Identification of Sewer Lateral at 5134 Angeles Crest Highway Contract. The work to be done consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals as required by the Plans and Contract Documents. The general items of work includes; obtain double Caltrans " rider" permit; set up traffic control per approved plans; sawcut 6'x6' and remove asphalt; excavate to locate the chimney per as-built plan; perform shoring and bracing to secure excavated hole; perform CCTV inspection with sewer lateral launcher and identify the alignment of the lost lateral . Backfill the trench with one sack cement slurry, grind and install steel plate recessed in pavement flush with existing surface. Restore the pavement with asphalt plus 1" of existing thickness of asphalt. In case of the sewer lateral is found to be short of reaching to property line, the contractor will extend the lateral to the property line. Clean up and leave in an operable and acceptable condition all of the work. The work shall commence within fifteen (15) calendar day after the date set forth in the "Notice to Proceed." All Base Bid work shall be completed in its entirety within fifteen (15) working days from said date. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the City. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening.
