Remodeling of a road / highway in Grove City, Ohio. Completed plans call for the remodel of a road / highway.
**As of November 16, 2020, the project was awarded to Strawser Paving Co Inc. for $1,765,633.91.** Roadway widening along the east side of Jackson Pike (SR 104), removal of a portion of the existing Scioto Grove Metro Park entrance drive and construction of a new park entrance drive to align with the construction of a realigned portion of Holton Road. The proposed roadway improvements will include subgrade stabilization, full-depth asphalt pavement, asphalt shared-use path, concrete walks, and a new traffic signal. Underground infrastructure including 12-inch storm sewers. The estimated costs of construction for the work outlined in the plans and specifications for the various bids are: Base Bid: $1,708,000.00 Additional Bid 1: $335,000.00 The work shall be completed within three hundred (300) calendar days The project shall consist of 1170 feet of full depth widening of S.R. 104 and realignment of Holton Road and the Scioto Grove Metro Park entrance drive to create a new intersection with traffic signal. The project includes pavement mill and overlay, and full depth reconstruction, asphalt path, a traffic signal system, and storm sewer improvements. Construction activities associated with the project include: installation of temporary sediment controls; milling, clearing, and grading; construction of the proposed roadway improvements; and permanent stabilization of the disturbed areas.
